Introduction to Business Continuity Management (BCM)
Will your organization be able to function with as little disruption as possible. In the face of major incidents? Whether it’s a business, public sector organization, or charity, this is an essential aspect of governance.
Description
“Prepare Today to Protect Tomorrow”
Business continuity is about having a plan to deal with difficult situations, so your organisation can continue to function with as little disruption as possible. Whether it’s a business, public sector organisation, or charity, you need to know how you can keep going under any circumstances. In short, it prepares you for when (not if) the stuff hits the fan, so you can ensure your fan keeps working !!
Having a process in place to manage the aftermath of any disruptive incident is essential to ongoing business activity. Understanding your key priorities, processes and procedures; any gaps you may have across those activities; training your team so they know exactly what to do, who does what, when, where, why and how; and testing your plans to ensure they work as intended.
In this workshop, you will learn important principles of BCM, the terminology of BCM, a high level understanding of the steps required and how to go about a Business Impact Assessment.
This workshop is brought to you in collaboration with Sheena Downey, from Digital Diligence, a recognised expert in the field, and author of the book “Ensuring Business Resilience: A Beginner’s Guide”.
